The Simpsons Movie is the product of when America's favorite TV family finally get their debut spot at a silver screen appearance. The movie reunites some of the show's most decorated writers and producers into the ultimate Simpson escapade. The film follows the Simpsons and their lives as refugees after Homer ruins Springfield's water supply. Being a longtime Simpsons fan, I remember watching this movie when it first came out back in 2007 and laughing myself into what seemed like a coma. I decided that in order to have a fresh view of the film, I would watch it again over a decade later and reevaluate if the comedy aged well. It's safe to say that the legendary comedy that is provided by the ingenious writing staff left the film's comedy timeless. Despite the movie being so enjoyable and fun to watch there was a sense of normality within the movie. The picture honestly just felt like one long Simpsons special episode. The voice acting by the cast were phenomenal beyond the standard, with talents such as Dan Castellaneta bringing in their best performances. The movie had a special message about marriage, family, and loyalty all of which help bring together a family for a nice family night. I recommend this movie to not only any Simpsons fan but also to anyone looking for a fun movie night with all ages.
